Keep Cup was started based on a need. Abigail & Jamie Forsythe founded a coffee shop in Melbourne Australia in 1998. It was during this time they noticed how much waste they were creating with their To Go coffee crowd. So they decided to create a reusable glass coffee cup that people would like. They considered functionality, barista standard sizes, and aesthetics. They wanted to be part of positive change; but they wanted to do it in a way that was safe for the planet as well as affordable. The amount of waste that was being created by disposable cups was massive so they knew they needed to create a high quality product that did not impact the taste of the coffee, and was beautiful as well as environmentally responsible.
