Laundry Soap – What’s In It?

Boy do I feel duped. My kids are currently 5 & 6 years old and I have been purchasing a very popular laundry detergent that is “gentle on babies skin, recommended by Pediatricians, and trusted by Mom’s.”

Did I know what was in it? No. Did I trust them? Yes. Why? I have no clue.

I am on a mission to try and understand what it is that we are putting in our bodies, on our bodies, in our home, etc.

My latest finding is an all natural laundry soap bar from If grated and mixed with hot water it will make a nice laundry detergent to use in HE washing machine. It is made with none of the chemicals the other “big guy” detergents are made from.

Another thing I love about the BodyGoodies laundry soap bar is the limited packaging. A simple piece of compostable cardboard will provide me with more than a gallon of detergent in my re-usable container. I will be sure to report back on my findings.

I also purchased a Anchor Hocking Heritage Hill Glass Beverage Dispenser with Spigot, 2 Gallon so I could refill the container and not use plastic. It’s a win-win all the way around   Though you will notice I did replace the spigot based on some of the Amazon reviews.
